Description

The Egyptian side-relief coin ring combines a dark round coin-style face with two unmistakably sculpted Egyptian portrait panels on the shoulders. Eight inspected images establish the front, both sides, rear shank and worn scale. The current record lists 92.5% sterling silver, a 45 x 25 mm size reference, a 45 g published weight and fixed US sizes 6 through 15, including half sizes.

Portrait shoulders frame a separate round coin face

The central disc carries a small standing figure, radial marks, lettering and the visible date 1912. Ribbed borders and scrollwork lead from that disc to a headdress-wearing face on each shoulder. Oxidized recesses separate the fine lines while brighter edges define the ring from a distance.

The product source does not authenticate the center as a particular historical coin, country, mint issue or precious-metal coin. It also does not identify either side portrait as a named pharaoh. Egyptian describes the visible headdress and shoulder treatment, not an archaeological origin or museum reproduction.

This ownership is deliberately narrower than generic pharaoh rings: the decision feature is a round coin-style center held between two relief portraits. Buyers seeking a single raised ruler face should compare a portrait signet instead.

Size the broad shank and compare its 45 g presence

  • Material: 92.5% sterling silver, as listed
  • Listed size: 45 x 25 mm; the source does not define the axes
  • Published weight: 45 g
  • Available sizes: US 6-15, including half sizes
  • Verified form: round coin-style face with Egyptian portrait side panels

Choose one live variation rather than expecting an adjustable shank. A wide, high-profile ring can feel more noticeable than a narrow band at the same number, so check passage over the knuckle as well as comfort at the finger base.

Use a ring sizer close to the actual shank width when possible. Compare the 45 x 25 mm reference and worn photograph with a large ring you already own; do not reinterpret those two values as exact face height and width because the axes are unpublished.

The 45 g value is the current product reference. No size-by-size weight table is published, so the page does not promise that every variation weighs exactly the same.

Protect the coin lines and dark shoulder recesses

Remove the ring before impact work, lifting or reaching into tight spaces. The round rim and raised shoulder portraits can contact hard surfaces before the lower shank.

Clean with mild soap, water and a very soft brush, following the coin lines without using sharp picks. Rinse and dry the recesses thoroughly, then polish only accessible high points with light pressure.

FTC guidance explains sterling descriptions, GIA emphasizes accurate fixed-size measurement, and CCI advises restrained abrasion because repeated polishing removes silver. Store this ring separately with the face upward.

Coin identity, Egyptian detail and heavy-fit questions

Is the center an authenticated historical coin?

No. The gallery shows a coin-style face, but no country, denomination, mint or authenticity record is published.

Does the ring depict a specific pharaoh?

No named ruler is verified; Egyptian refers to the headdress-wearing portraits sculpted on the shank shoulders.

Is the ring adjustable?

No adjustable construction is documented. Select one fixed US size from the live variation menu.

Does 45 g apply to every size?

It is the published product reference, but no variation-by-variation weight map is supplied.

How should a buyer judge the 45 x 25 mm listing?

Treat it as an overall size reference and compare the worn image with a large ring you already find comfortable.
