Measure the Strap at the Buckle End

Watch straps can taper, so the width at the watch lugs may not equal the width where the buckle attaches. Remove or open the existing buckle and measure the strap end that actually passes through its frame. Select that millimeter value rather than ordering from the watch-case lug width alone.

The available options run from 12 to 24 mm in 1 mm steps. Width alone does not prove full compatibility: strap thickness, the tongue slot, spring-bar length and hole placement must also suit the hardware. If those details are uncertain, have a watch or strap specialist inspect the fit.

Antlers and Textured Panels Define the Hardware

The lower stag head, upward antlers and rough side panels create a larger ornamental profile than a plain rectangular buckle. Check that the antler tips do not press into the strap when the buckle is closed and that the tongue moves freely through the selected strap hole.

Test the Installed Buckle Before Daily Wear

After installation, pull the strap gently in both directions, operate the tongue through several holes and confirm the spring bar remains seated. Stop using it if the frame, tongue or bar shifts. Wipe the recessed antler details after wear without soaking the leather strap shown in use.
