Dry the deep grain lines and terminal backs

Use lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush along the direction of the ridges. Clean behind both skull terminals and rinse through the front gap, then dry the grooves and inside surface before storage.

Avoid forcing polishing cloth into the split front or levering against either skull. Remove the ring for lifting, gloves and snag-prone work, and stop wearing it if a terminal creates persistent pressure on an adjacent finger. Restrained cleaning preserves the contrast between raised grain and recessed lines better than aggressive abrasive polishing.

Two skull terminals interrupt a bark-like shank

Each skull projects from one end of the split front and faces the other across a narrow gap. The heads remain compact relative to the long textured band, so the ring reads first as a ridged open shank rather than two large profile faces.

The grooves are visibly irregular and longitudinal, but the product record does not identify real wood, a specific tree species, casting from bark or nature symbolism. The open gap is part of the visual construction; it is not proof of an adjustable size range or permission to repeatedly spread the terminals.
