The rectangular face and side relief may feel different from a rounded ring, so confirm both finger-base comfort and knuckle passage. Measure the intended finger near the time of wear and make sure the chosen ring passes the knuckle. GIA sizing guidance treats band width, finger shape and measurement method as practical fit factors; a projecting face that rotates is not, by itself, proof that sizing down is safe.

Protect the red detail and open vents

Remove the ring for sports and impact work; the mask styling is decorative and provides no protective function.

Avoid abrasive pressure on the red mark, and use a soft brush through the vent holes and around the side skull. Use a soft brush in recesses and light cloth pressure on raised planes. Canadian Conservation Institute guidance notes that polishing removes silver, so avoid repeatedly stripping intentional dark contrast.

Use the red slash and vent pattern as the visual signature

Small round openings and narrow eye slots break up the mask face, while the red diagonal mark crosses the pale raised surface. A darker skull and bone-like side panel continues into the shank.
