Two skull scales create the vertical design

The lower relief shows one deep eye socket, part of the nose and a tooth row that follows the curved edge. Above it, a much smaller complete skull forms the transition to the bail. The result is a double-skull composition without the hat or gentleman identity previously suggested by the old URL wording.

The shield description refers only to the elongated outline. The gallery does not show a functional shield, opening compartment or documented historic emblem.
